Allen Farmer
Allen Farmer, hailing from Moon, Virginia, is the esteemed owner of Alcat Precast, a thriving company specializing in the manufacturing and distribution of septic tanks. Allen's journey in the septic industry began at the young age of 13, working alongside his grandfather John Bing in their family-owned business.
As a determined and hardworking individual, Allen spent his formative years honing his skills in septic system installation and maintenance, developing an intimate understanding of the industry's intricacies. Fueled by a desire to expand and share his expertise, Farmer embarked on a mission to manufacture septic tanks that could meet the needs of local installers while imparting his knowledge to fellow septic business owners. Allen holds licenses from the Board for Contractors: Class A Contractors (ADS H/H), Board for Waterworks (Master Alternative Onsite Sewage System Installer), and Wastewater Works Operators (Master Alternative Onsite Sewage System Operator).
In 2001, Farmer materialized his vision by establishing Alcat Precast. Leveraging his close relationship with Clearstream Wastewater Systems, he seized the opportunity to become a distributor for their products within the state of Virginia. Alcat Precast swiftly emerged as a trusted and reliable local manufacturer, seller, and distributor, offering high-quality septic tanks that met specific requirements to contractors in the Chesapeake Bay area of Virginia, Maryland, and eastern North Carolina.
Driven by his strong values and unwavering commitment, Farmer leads Alcat Precast with a focus on family, excellence, and fairness. His motivations stem from the desire to support his loved ones, deliver exceptional workmanship, and treat people with integrity. By upholding these principles, Allen Farmer continues to build upon his family's legacy while making a positive impact on the industry and the communities he serves. In addition to his business ventures, Allen Farmer leads a fulfilling life outside of work, pursuing various hobbies and interests. He enjoys hunting, riding his motorcycle, boating with his wife Cathy, and traveling to war history locations.
Cathy Farmer
Cathy Farmer serves as the Secretary/Treasurer and Office Administrator at Alcat Precast. With an impressive 36 years of experience in the industry and a background in onsite sewage system installation, she brings extensive knowledge and expertise to her role. Cathy's dedication to her work is evident in her commitment to providing exceptional service to the company's customers. She finds great fulfillment in engaging with clients and making sales for Clearstream Wastewater Systems, a product line that Alcat Precast specializes in.
Working alongside her husband, Allen, adds an extra layer of fulfillment to her role. Cathy takes pride in the way Alcat Precast treats its customers, providing excellent services and offering valuable features such as a two-year warranty on Clearstream components and a two-year service policy at no additional charge. She is always ready to address customers' technical questions and resolve any issues that arise.
Outside of work, Cathy enjoys spending time at the beach, riding Harley motorcycles with Allen, and exploring new travel destinations. Originally from Mathews, a small county located on the Chesapeake Bay, Cathy's passion for her profession as a secretary has been a lifelong pursuit, and she is proud to be part of the Alcat Precast team since November 2001.
Emily Cook
Emily Cook serves as the Office Manager at Alcat Precast, bringing 8 years of industry experience to her role. With a high school education and the added qualification of being a notary public, Emily efficiently manages the office operations. Her strong connection to the company as a family business is one of her favorite aspects of the job. Working closely with her relatives fosters a sense of unity and collaboration that she deeply values. Alcat Precast stands out in the industry as the exclusive manufacturer of Clearstream Wastewater Systems in the state of Virginia, setting them apart from their competitors. Emily takes pride in this unique position and recognizes the significance it holds for the company's market presence.
Outside of work, she enjoys indulging in hobbies such as shopping, spending quality time with her husband James, and showering their dog Hank with love and attention. Emily was born and raised in Mathews, VA, which provides her with a deep understanding of the local community and their specific needs. Being part of a family business has always been a passion for Emily, and she takes pride in contributing to its success. She joined the Alcat Precast team in June 2015, quickly becoming an integral part of the company's growth and accomplishments.
Jacob Dalton
Jacob Dalton takes on the role of Lot Manager at Alcat Precast, bringing 4 years of industry experience and a CDL license to his position. What attracted Jacob to the company was his passion for running equipment, a favorite aspect of his job. The opportunity to operate and manage equipment on a daily basis is what drew him to Alcat Precast. One aspect that stands out about Alcat Precast and sets it apart from similar companies, according to Jacob, is their ability to pour their own tanks. This in-house capability allows for greater control and quality assurance in the manufacturing process.
Jacob's personal passion lies in MMA fighting, where he dedicates his time and energy to honing his skills in the sport. Born and raised in Mathews, VA, Jacob has a strong connection to the local community and understands the unique needs and challenges of the area. Jacob's choice to enter his profession was influenced by his father, who also works at Alcat Precast. Being able to follow in his father's footsteps drew him to his current role. Jacob joined Alcat Precast in June 2019. His expertise in equipment operation and management, coupled with his dedication to the company, make him an integral part of the team.
Kristopher True
Kristopher True is a dedicated Laborer at Alcat Precast, bringing two years of industry experience to his role. Kristopher embraces the opportunity to continually learn new things, which is one of his favorite aspects of the job. This drive for knowledge drew him to Alcat Precast, where he can expand his skill set and expertise. What sets Alcat Precast apart for Kristopher is the opportunity to work alongside his friends. Born and raised in Mathews, VA, Kristopher has a deep connection to the local community and appreciates the familiarity and sense of belonging it provides. His journey into his profession was influenced by his coworker Jacob, who played a significant role in introducing him to the industry. This connection and guidance drew him towards his current role at Alcat Precast which began in September of 2020. Kristopher is an integral part of the Alcat Precast team.
Jaiden Ochoa
Jaiden Ochoa is a dedicated General Laborer at Alcat Precast, where he ensures that everything is prepped for the next day. With a background in construction and a passion for hands-on work, Jaiden joined the company in March 2024. One of Jaiden's favorite aspects of his job is the opportunity to work outdoors, enjoying the day and engaging in meaningful physical labor. This aspect of his role aligns perfectly with his love for hard work and the great outdoors.

Haden Higginbotham
